My son is 17 months old. We bought two sizes — 6/12 months and 12/24 — to make sure we got the best fit. The hat was the same in both sizes and the size of the suit itself varied little. We ended up going with the 12/24 because it was a little wider to wear. The foam is comfortable and he stayed dressed all day without showing any discomfort. The hat ends up being a cute addition to the costume, but there is a limit to how long, as a general rule, a baby of this size can wear a hat. However, he still walked for a few hours and seemed to be comfortable. I recommend it for babies who can already walk. For a baby who is not yet walking, the shape is neither practical nor comfortable.
